Chicken Shrock from Nesh Mediterranean Grill
It may look like a Chipotle burrito, but it's much, much better. Seriously.
I've been a big fan of Nesh since I started working in the Loop. First because it's located in the building I work in, and second because you can choose exactly what you want in your salad/bowl/wrap a la Chipotle.
However, it wasn't until one of my coworkers suggested I try a shrock that I really learned how awesome this place is (I previously always got a rice bowl, which is good but not shrock good). Some might say a shrock isn't a sandwich but more of a wrap. Judge rules: sandwich.
In my Chicken Shrock I got rice, Jerusalem salad (chopped tomatoes and cucumbers), red cabbage coleslaw, hummus, and tzatziki sauce. It was so good that I inhaled the whole thing before even thinking about taking any pictures. So all photos are replicas of the sandwich I actually ate (thanks Yelp!).
THE RANKINGS (scale of 0-5)
Price for quality: 3 I paid $9.05 for this sandwich, so it's definitely not something I could swing every day for lunch. But as you can see from the picture, it was gigantic, and if you have good self control you could probably have had leftovers. Considering I didn't even put it down once while eating, that wasn't gonna happen for me.
Taste: 4.5 My biggest pet peeve about Chipotle burritos is they don't mix everything together enough, and you end up taking one giant bite of just guacamole, another of just meat. This shrock from Nesh was the complete opposite: all the ingredients were blended very well inside the wrap, and every bite had a ton of different flavors going on. While I was eating, I honestly felt like Schmidt from New Girl eating pizza for the first time in a very long time.

Smell: 2 I think since all the flavors were wrapped up so tightly in the pseudo burrito, all the smells were trapped. Not a huge issue for me, though, because it still tasted awesome.
Wait time: 5 This has been by far the quickest wait I've had for a sandwich due to the model (similar to Chipotle where you go down a line and choose exactly what you want) of their restaurant. It only took me about 5 minutes to wait in line, order, and be back at my desk. Would Cookie Lyon from Empire appreciate that kind of quick service?

Messiness: 1 The guy who wrapped my shrock did a very good job because it wasn't messy at all. I could even eat it one handed without worrying about spilling it all over myself! #score
Originality: 4 I don't know if this category really applies to this particular sandwich since everything you order is personalized/original. But I definitely liked that I had the option to only put what I wanted into my wrap and that I could physically see how fresh the ingredients were going into my food.
Likeliness to purchase again: (from 0-5 sandwiches)

I was a loyal rice bowl customer at Nesh for a long time. But after eating this shrock, I've definitely been converted. Shrock is without a doubt the way to go. Also, don't be fooled by what their ad looks like; it'll just look like a Chipotle burrito but taste much better.
